Welcome
I’m Jason Rosenburg, a fiction writer telling emotionally honest stories rooted in the South and shaped by queer experience. I write about the quiet moments that often go unnoticed—the tension at the dinner table, the memory triggered by a grocery aisle, the silence between people who love each other but don’t know how to say it.
My characters are often caught between versions of themselves, trying to hold onto their history while reaching for something more honest. They wrestle with identity, family, and faith in places where those things are tightly woven, often painfully so.
This site is a space for stories that linger. Stories that care about the details, the ache, and the slow unraveling of truth. Here you’ll find updates on my current writing projects, behind-the-scenes reflections on the creative process, and blog posts that read more like memoir fragments, that contain memory, place, and longing.
If you’ve ever felt out of place in the place you came from, or if you’re still learning how to speak your full truth, then you’re in the right spot. I’m glad you’re here.
